Ok so this is a long winded confession of sorts. During the four weeks prior to me joining Liz in the UK, I grew quite accustomed to the new lounge freedom in our living room.
You see we have a l-shaped lounge and Liz, being the taller of us two, would normally take the end with the extra leg room. So in the four weeks when I was living solo, I had this new world of comfortable leg room opened up to me. So when our living habits returned to normal, I had to act quickly to retain my new found freedom.
First step, I found a reclining chair on ebay. Awesome. Cheap, comfortable, but whats that, no leg support? Don't worry I'll make you a foot stool!

On a visit to The Bower Co-Op in Marrickville, I picked up this old office chair for $5. After letting it dry out for a couple of days, I simple cut of the back with a saw, covered the cushion with fabric care of a old dress I bought at a garage sail and voila! We have a foot stool...
The stool goes great with the new chair, its super comfortable and I get to stretch out on the lounge...
Both cats think its pretty brilliant too
